Whisper and Parakeet models run on the Neural Engine. Audio is never sent, stored remotely, or seen by anyone but you.
Transcription runs on the Neural Engine on Apple Silicon — a sentence comes back in under a second. Intel Macs run the same models on the CPU.
Push-to-talk with ⌥Space, or switch to press-to-start with a custom stop key. Both ship in the box.

Privacy
Cloud dictation means your voice rides someone else's servers. Blurt's engine runs entirely on your Mac — unplug the network and it works exactly the same.

Any Mac on macOS 14 Sonoma or newer — Apple Silicon (M1 or later) or Intel. On Apple Silicon the Neural Engine does the heavy lifting; Intel Macs run the model on the CPU.
Yes. Blurt pastes into whatever field is focused — Slack, email, editors, terminals, browser. If it accepts typed text, it accepts Blurt.
Audio lives in memory only and is discarded the instant your transcript is delivered. Nothing is written to disk, nothing is uploaded.
Any combination you like, plus a separate stop key for toggle mode. Both are set in settings with a click.
You keep dictation until the end of the paid period, then Blurt reverts to its free basics. No lock-in — cancel from a Stripe link, no emails needed.
Your license activates on up to 3 of your Macs. Deactivate from Settings → Pro on a Mac to free its slot for another one.
